Dwayne McDuffie

Escritor de Cómic y escritor de televisión que ha trabajado en Justice League Unlimited, Fantastic Four, Beyond !, y Guerra Mundial Hulk: Damage Control. También se crearon los caracteres de hito que se están insertando actualmente en la DCU convencional. Ha escrito Justice League of America para DC Comics.
Su primer trabajo importante fue Damage Control, una serie de Marvel sobre la compañía que aparece entre los problemas y arregla el lío que dejó la última ronda de batallas de superhéroes y supervillanos. His first major work was Damage Control, a Marvel series about the company that shows up between issues and tidies up the mess left by the latest round of superhero/supervillain battles. He followed that with dozens of various Marvel comics titles before writing Monster in My Pocket for Harvey Comics editor Sid Jacobson, whom he cites on his website as having taught him all he knows. 
He was co-founder and editor-in-chief of Milestone Media, for which he created or co-created many characters, including Static, the basis of the animated series Static Shock. 
McDuffie's television credits, in addition to Static Shock, include Justice League, Teen Titans, and What's New, Scooby-Doo?. He was a writer/producer for Justice League Unlimited. 
McDuffie wrote the story for Justice League Heroes. 
In 2003, McDuffie and co-writer Alan Burnett were awarded the Humanitas Prize in Children's Animation for the "Jimmy" episode of Static Shock. In both 2003 and 2004 he was nominated, with other Static Shock creators, for daytime Emmy awards. In 2005, he was nominated for the Writers Guild of America award in animation, with Rich Fogel and John Ridley for the "Starcrossed" episode of Justice League.

Unfortunately, we lost this great talent all too soon. Dwayne McDuffie passed away on February 21, 2011 from complications following emergency heart surgery. The comic book industry lost one of its most influential and creative minds on that day. He defiantly left his mark on the industry that he loved.
