The Darkseid War forma parte
de Justice League #41, y es un arco que deriva ligeramente de los eventos
sucedidos en Justice League #40 y Divergence #1 (del Free Comic Book Day). De
hecho, se aleja de todo lo sucedido en Convergence, y aprovecha al máximo las
ventajas de tener un Superman todopoderoso, un Batman (Bruce Wayne) aún vivo,
Hal Jordan con anillo y poder al máximo, y todo lo necesario como para que la
Liga de la Justicia pueda hacer frente a uno de sus más poderosos villanos.
Este cómic es además una de
las apuestas que DC Comics tenía guardadas desde hace un tiempo, y muy pocos
realmente se animaban a arriesgar en qué momento se publicaría, y bajo qué
contexto.
Precisamente, sus
protagonistas cuentan por sí mismos con un peso suficiente para atraer a todo
tipo de lectores, y es que una lucha entre el Anti-Monitor y Darkseid solo
puede mejorarse si la Liga de la Justicia queda de alguna forma en el medio.
Actualmente Darkseid es
considerado una Singularidad, un ente único capaz de interactuar con todos los
universos existentes. Algo que invita a una épica lucha de varios universos
frente a un único ser Divino. Quien, precisamente, busca conquistar varias
realidades el mismo tiempo.
Por si no alcanzara con él,
conocimos ahora a su hija, la que algunos llaman la "Wonder Woman
malvada": Grail. Y es precisamente por ella que su padre ataca la Tierra,
en la búsqued por liberarla de A.R.G.U.S., quienes la mantenían cautiva...
Un evento que no es evento;
pero con mucho, mucho potencial
Cualquier batalla entre la
Liga de la Justicia y Darkseid suele ser épica. Y no hay mucho que decir sobre
Anti-Monitor, quien estuvo detrás de la gran Crisis on Infinite Earths hace ya
20 años. Pero si ambos atacan la Tierra (o mejor dicho, "las
Tierras") no parece haber mucho por hacer.
Aunque bueno, si se trata de
una historia en cómics sabemos que al fin y al cabo los héroes se las
ingeniarán para vencerles. Pero, ¿a qué precio?
